We have successfully completed the project on Sunday, and the hospital and children are absolutely delighted with the results. Mick has the ability to make people very comfortable with his polite, professional and personal manner. If it was not for Mick's sales ability I would have chosen a cheaper version of Turf from another supplier, which I am sure would have been of a similar quality. However the differential was Mick's manner of sale.

I ordered 50m of "good quality" lawn on Wednesday 21 June and asked for it to be delivered on 23 June. It was. I laid it a day later and within 2½ weeks the lawn looks absolutely brilliant.

Many thanks for the recent supply of turf 1st April 2008.
We had the lawn laid the day it arrived and it is looking beautiful, as you can see from the photo.
We found a small space for the horse chestnut tree - again photo enclosed. Many thanks for that. We know it will grow tall, but there are lots of other tall trees to keep it company.
All in all, we are very pleased with the quality of the turf and the service we received from yourselves.

I just wanted to say thanks for a beautiful lawn! I ordered lawna turf
for our back garden a few weeks ago, and so far it is doing great, even
in the places where it shouldn't have. I was at homebase over the
weekend to buy some paint and other things, and was horrified when I saw
the pieces of turf that they were drying in the sun outside - even more
so when I saw that someone was actually buying it...
Because our garden is oddly shaped, and so small that the turf didn't
cost much (and because I'm lazy), I ordered plenty more turf than we
needed, and ended up with a lot of spare. I decided to half hartedly put
it down in places where we weren't initially planning to have grass,
hoping to at least keep it alive for a bit, in case anything needed
patching. These extra bits included tiny cut-offs, that I expected to
dry out and die. To further decrease their chances of surviving, I
didn't do any proper ground preparation, and ran out of time to water it
because I was going out in the evening.
A few weeks later, the main lawn (where I had prepared the ground, and
almost watered it enough) is doing great, and to my surprise, even the
other bits have survived, and are looking perfectly OK, despite me not
having done anything right, and some of the bits being completely
shaded. The old neglected lawn (it was in a terrible state when we
bought the flat) had completely died out in places, and we had fully
expected that we'd need to cover these parts with something other than
grass, but it's looking just fine.
So, all in all, it seems like a very healthy and sturdy grass, and I've
realised that my fears of laying turf rather than sowing were unfounded.
Lastly, being able to order in the mid afternoon, and get the turves
delivered the next day, was just perfect - I really hadn't expected it
to be so easy! I should have given your details to the poor man who was
buying dried out turves from Homebase - he said that he was only buying
them because he needed them straight away.We'll definitely be recommending your turf to our friends, thanks!

I took delivery of 120 square metres of Crown Gold turf - half last Friday and half the following day; I am truly delighted with the service I have received from your staff and the quality of your turf.
One very pleasant surprise was that each turf was rather lighter than I expected; I am sixty four in a couple of weeks time; pushing a quill and at a desk for forty-five years has not prepared me for hard labour! I am glad I asked for two deliveries - 60 square metres took me about four hours; four minutes a turf sounds very pedestrian, but I needed to cut some and I rolled the turves down, using a light roller on top of the boards I ordered from you.

Suggested cure for urine damage to lawn by dogs

By the way, your literature states there is no cure for the damage
done by dog's urine.
A tablespoon of tomato juice (or puree) in a dog or bitches food stops
it burning the grass very effectively. It counteracts the hormone or
whatever it is that does the damage.

A couple of months back I ordered some turf from www.turfland.co.uk. Prior to that I had researched turf on the internet because I was unsure exactly what I needed, or which turf to get. I found the website extremely easy to use, and that they supplied the type of turf I required. Of all the sites I checked this one seemed to be the best so I decided to take the plunge, nervously I placed my order. During the order I thought it would be wise to add some lawn feed because during my research I found everyone recommended it when laying turf, however what was unknown to me was Turfland provided this free with the turf. Just one day after placing the order Turfland phoned me to confirm the order, with the salesman asking me if I was aware of the free lawn feed because I had ordered a second batch, I stated I was not. He then asked me if I would like to cancel the second order as one would be enough, in my experience there are not many firms that would do this. Suddenly I found my self feeling confident about my order. And sure enough I had reason to be confident. The order arrived exactly when they said it would. Now I have a beautiful lush green lawn that has now rooted firmly. I do not plan to live in this house for ever as the children will soon out grow it and I will need to move to a bigger house. Rest assured that if I need any turf in the new property I will not hesitate in asking Turfland to provide it for me.

I was pleased with the service Turfland has provided me with and the turf itself. With your staff's advice I seem to have chosen the right type of turf. Turfland's website and your staff provide an excellent process for preapring and laying the turf. I Followed 'after care' advice provided by one of your staff when I placed the order. In less than a week the grass was well established and well grown. I cannot remember when was the last time my front lawn was this good with dark green in colour and densly populated. I will recommend Turfland to my friends and relatives.

I am pleased to notice , Turfland is one of the companies in the UK still povide an excellent service and product to their customers. Keep up the good service.
